Bucks County, PA: Daniel Rattigan, President of Bucks County Association of Township Officials (BCATO) and Chairman of the Upper Makefield Township Board of Supervisors has been appointed to the Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. During Dan’s term as President of BCATO, the organization has launched a series of Opioid/Heroin Panel Discussions held in various municipalities throughout Bucks County. “As a township supervisor, I could clearly see the impact the Opioid crisis was having on our community. In recent years, the Upper Makefield Township Board of Supervisors approved township participation in the County’s prescription disposal program and has authorized our police to carry the life- saving drug Naloxone. Both serve as important resources for our police officers in confronting this epidemic.”
BCATO’s panel discussion participants have included Matt Weintraub, Bucks County District Attorney and Diane Rosati, Executive Director of Bucks County Drug & Alcohol, Inc. The panel discussions have been wide ranging and comprehensive. Matt Weintraub stated, Dan and BCATO have been tremendous partners in helping us get the word out about key prevention efforts, addiction treatment options and Naloxone availability. Dan will be a great addition to our board.”
Dan Rattigan is serving his third term as President of BCATO and is Chairman of the Board of Supervisors in Upper Makefield Township. Mr. Rattigan also is Vice Chairman of the Newtown Area Joint Zoning Council. Separate from his public life he is President of Fisherman's Mark a social service facility located in Lambertville, NJ.
